Grassland Dairy Products, Inc. is located in Greenwood, Wisconsin. To me, its home. I grew up
here and began working in the plant when I was a teenager. Over the years, I’ve been able to
witness the great work ethic that Wisconsin is known for. Grassland has a great team of people
contributing to the success of the company every day. Each individual, each department, makes a
difference in our operation.
Grassland has been a family-owned company since 1904. Our business values are based on my
great-grandfather’s beliefs, and as the fourth generation, we continue to maintain that tradition.
As a company, we have grown tremendously over the past century and yet, we still maintain that
connection with our employees similar to a small business culture. Each individual determines
their success. Grassland strives to provide opportunities for our employees to grow and develop in
their roles. We believe in the integrity of our products and the way we do business. A quality
product is a collaborative effort all the way from the farm to the shipping dock.
Grassland is excited about the opportunities ahead. We are looking forward to the next 100 years
in the dairy industry.
The procurement/supply chain department’s main focus is packaging. We
handle the creation, logistics and supply of boxes, cartons, totes and a wide
range of packaging materials for our facility. The procurement team collaborates
with many other areas of the business. We work with sales in developing the
package messaging, work with quality assurance on Food & Drug Administration
(FDA) laws, and coordinate with the production and logistics team to ensure
deliverables. It is a very fast-pasted company; no day is ever really the same.
There is a lot of variety within the position.
